Crafting your learning journey through our flexible training options is easy with my help. Our first steps will be getting in touch to get to know one another. It’s important that we get along well as peers before we get to the education behind this experience.

Through ample communication, infographics and worksheets, as well as targeted feedback, you’ll find your practice changing the entire way they think about things like trauma informed care. It doesn’t matter what type of education you’re investing in here, every facet of my knowledge is becoming industry standard as time goes on.

  • Trauma Experience and Educated

When it comes to speaking on hardship, I’m no stranger. I have a recovery story of my own to share when speaking to groups of clinicians. It helps me gain credibility and helps folks understand where my educational background comes from. I’ve taken my life of struggle with addiction, neurodiversity, and trauma then transformed it into my now well known method of applying therapy Politicized Healing.

With my experience, my formal education, the affirmation of the Universities who adopt my methodology, I’m able to offer a truly unique training that will deepen your practices methods of client interaction, management, and customer service workflow.

  • Fat Positive Education

Are you someone who has never been in a bigger body before? A fat body? Because let’s be honest, fat is just a description of a body type. For some the word can be loaded with stigma, but for the newer community of adults celebrating their bodies we are leaning into fat as just a mere word. It holds no morality. And in learning this fact, you might find yourself questioning what other parts of your diction aren’t fat friendly.

I’ll walk your team through multiple lenses of how fatness is looked at in the country as a whole. You’ll benefit from learning things about Health at Every Size, you’ll remove stigma from your behaviors, and you’ll learn how to be sensitive about things like weight loss.

  • Substance Abuse Disorders

As a sober individual myself, I’ve found the best way to get folks to understand my experience is by sharing a bit about it. I am going into these trainings with my game face, ready for vulnerability and education all at once. You’ll notice over time, what aids and mindsets led to my recovery and continued soberness. The key to understanding addiction is to see it as a set of unmet needs being overwhelmed upon the individual at hand or the lack of resolution or processing of a grave trauma in a safe space.

You’ll notice most folks with addiction also have CPTSD diagnosis that require a level of trauma informed awareness to approach. Things like addiction require a lot of first hand training to understand the gravity of the traumas faced by those enduring addiction paths.

  • Trans and Gender Nonconforming

I’m someone who identifies as a member of the LGBTQIA community. I’m a gender fluid person who insists on they/them pronouns. I’m a big advocate for my trans clients and peers who struggle with reaching the level of awareness needed to tackle their mental health loads. I’m able to offer some insights into what makes me, as a gender divergent person, feel affirmed in my identity.

In addition to merely receiving tips on allyship, we’ll dive deeper into the meaning of allyship and what your place is as a clinician who might not have this first hand experience. You’ll find over time, you’ll not think twice about pronouns or making mistakes. You’ll learn that mistakes are okay so long as they don’t become habits.
